At Gradability we recognise our responsibility to give back to the community, and to extend our mission of changing lives beyond our walls. We encourage an inclusive, engaging and fun environment through a community approach to action, and do this on company-wide and personal levels.
As a company we support Fiji Kids! Learning for Life, a grassroots charity providing financial assistance to help the neediest children in Fiji attend school. The charity focuses on primary and secondary school children, and we wanted to help with the ‘what’s next’ for these students. So in 2015, Gradability started a Tertiary Scholarship Program to continue to provide opportunities to the best and brightest students to help them succeed in building a better future.
At the same time we appreciate that our team members have personal passions and interests, and actively support what each individual can do to start a movement or do something close to their hearts. We’ve had many community projects initiated by team members, whether for awareness or fundraising purposes. We have hiked 100km non-stop through Australian bushland for Oxfam, held a cook-off to raise funds for RSPCA, participated in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of Cancer Council Australia, abseiled down 27 floors to raise funds for Anglicare Victoria, increased awareness and support for the McGrath Foundation to help those with breast cancer, invited Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to share their good work (plus we got to meet Archie the guide dog), launched environmental sustainability initiatives, and more.
Every single one of these were initiated by individual team members who had a heart for something and were supported by Gradability to run it. Gradability also matches fundraising efforts 1:1.
Our community contributions are an extension of who we are – our people, passion, purpose and care.
